Cognitive neuroscience of high-level vision (including visual object identification, visual mental imagery, visual working memory, visual attention, retrieval of visual information) & social neuroscience (including deception perception & production & self-deception). Individual differences, practice effects in visual & social cognition and potential applications. Methods include psychophysics, neuroimaging, electroencephalography, transcranial magnetic & direct current stimulation.

Research interests
I'm interested in using behavioral and cognitive neuroscience methods to study:

  • Higher level vision and cognition
  • Visual mental imagery, visual attention, working memory, semantic memory
  • Social cognition and relationship with spatial cognition
  • Deception, veracity assessment, and self-deception
  • Practice and training effects and individual differences in the above domains

For my research I have been using the following cognitive neuroscience techniques:

  • Functional magnetic resonance imaging
  • Electroencephalography
  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation
  • Transcranial direct current stimulation
  • Functional near-infrared spectroscopy
