We are delighted to announce that Martyn Atkins has been awarded the BPS/ATSiP Technical Support in Psychological Research Award for 2016.
The Research Board and the Association for Technical Staff in Psychology invite nominations for the annual award identifying the valuable role that technicians play in supporting research within the field of psychology. The award seeks to recognise excellence by psychology technicians across a range of skill
areas including; innovation, project management and using technology. Martyn was presented with the award at the British Psychological Society annual conference which was held in Nottingham in April.
‘This is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved for the expertise and determination which has been extensively demonstrated through his hard work since joining the team three years ago. As we look to strengthen and enhance the technical support role we provide to the school we are constantly searching for opportunities to offer innovation and proactive research assistance. I firmly believe that the technical role in research support is a vital and necessary one and it is with technical staff of Martyn’s calibre and creativity that we will succeed in achieving these goals’.
