Research

Research in the School of Psychology was rated as 5 in the 2001 RAE, and in the 2008 RAE we submitted 34.5 staff (making us the 12th largest research School of Psychology in the UK), and 85% of our research was rated at international standard.

We have a strong postgraduate community with around 35 PhD students and 20 MSc students. We welcome applications from the UK, EU and overseas.

Research within the school is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary, but is organised around three interlocking themes:

Brain

Encompasses much of the applied research activity, incorporating research in health, social and developmental psychology, and human factors. more
